Warmup in practice
A brand new domain that sends hundreds of emails on day one looks like a spammer, because that is what spammers do. Warmup builds history slowly. Many teams use warmup tools that trade emails between real inboxes and mark them as important, while ramping real sends up over a few weeks.
Warmup is not a one time step. Most teams leave a warmup tool running at low volume alongside live campaigns, and cut volume back if bounce or spam complaint rates rise. Plan warmup time into any launch date: domains bought today are not ready to send today.
