Careers at IV Consulting

Do the best work of your career.

We are a small, remote-first team building AI and automation for companies of every size, from first-hire startups to enterprise teams. We are sector agnostic, so the work spans agencies, SaaS, finance, healthcare, retail, and more, and you get range that most roles never offer. No bureaucracy. No busywork. Just work that matters, with people who care how it turns out.

Our story, the short version

IV Consulting started in 2023, after a decade of running operations and delivery inside other people's businesses. The pattern was always the same. Good teams, decent tools, and everything still living in someone's head.

So we started at the bottom of the stack and worked up. First the foundation, one place a business actually runs on. Then automating the work that was eating the week. Then AI implementation, and the plumbing underneath it: REST APIs and MCP servers that let those systems talk to each other.

Today we build AI products and AI solutions for teams, from early startups to enterprise, across sectors, all remote. We stay deliberately small, which is exactly why the person we hire next gets to own real work instead of a slice of someone else's.

Six things that are actually true here

Not values on a wall. This is how the week actually runs.

  1. 01

    Systems, not heroics

If something breaks twice, we fix the process instead of the person. The same standard we sell to clients, applied to ourselves first.

  2. 02

    Ship, then polish

Clients feel a working v1 in weeks, not a perfect v3 in six months. You will be trusted to draw that line yourself.

  3. 03

    Own the outcome

You get problems, not tickets. Nobody hands you a spec and watches your keystrokes. You own the result end to end.

  4. 04

    Async by default

Written updates beat standups. We keep a couple of hours of overlap and give the rest of the day back to deep work.

  5. 05

    Write it down

Every build gets documented and handed over. It is how clients keep what we make, and how you never do the same work twice.

  6. 06

    No busywork theatre

We automate our own admin the same way we automate a client's. If a task can be a workflow, it becomes one.

The parts people actually stay for

Fully remote, and range you cannot fake

Work from wherever you are, on clients from first-hire startups to enterprise teams, across sectors. Most people spend years in one industry. Here you get a dozen, and you learn what actually transfers between them.

Your work goes live

Projects run in weeks. You watch a real team start using the thing you built, and hear what it changed.

Direct access to the founder

You work with Ishan, not through three layers of account management. Questions get answered the same day.

Hours that flex around delivery

We care when the work lands, not when you were online. Keep the overlap, structure the rest yourself.

Grow as fast as you can carry it

Scope follows proof here, not tenure. Show you can hold something bigger and it is yours the next month, not the next review cycle.

Leave with a portfolio, not a job title

Every project is a system somebody runs their business on. Whatever you do after this, you can point at it and explain exactly what you built.

No roles open right now

Hiring here comes in bursts, and it is usually someone already on file who hears first. Worth two minutes even when the list is empty.

Get in the queue anyway

Leave your email and we will tell you the moment a role opens, before it goes public anywhere else. You can apply properly then.

No attachments, no long form. Just an email so we can reach you when a role opens.

Four steps, and you always hear back

Usually two to three weeks end to end. No ghosting, no eight-round loops.

STEP 01

Send the application

Five minutes. Tell us the role you want and show us something you have actually built.

STEP 02

Short intro call

About 25 minutes with Ishan. How you think, what you want next, and whether the role really fits.

STEP 03

A small practical task

One scoped piece of real work. It shows us how you work, and shows you what the work is like.

STEP 04

Offer and onboarding

Terms, start date, and a first project with a clear owner. You. Documented from day one.

What people ask before applying

Do you hire outside India?+
Yes. The team is remote and our clients are spread across the world, so we hire wherever the work and the overlap make sense. Most roles ask for a few hours of overlap with IST.
Are these roles full-time or contract?+
Both. Every posting says which it is. Some start as a scoped contract and turn into something longer once we have worked together.
What tools will I actually work in?+
Notion and ClickUp for the operating layer, Make and n8n and Zapier for automation, and Claude plus MCP for the AI work. You do not need all of them on day one, but you do need to enjoy learning tools quickly.
There is nothing open that fits me. Should I still apply?+
Yes. Use the same application form and say what you are good at. We keep applications on file and reach out first when a matching role opens.
How long does the hiring process take?+
Usually two to three weeks from application to decision. It is four steps: the application, a short intro call, a small practical task, then the offer.

Think you belong here?

Send the application. Tell us what you have built and what you want to build next. Every application gets read, and you always hear back either way.
