Closed-lost reactivation

Definition

Closed-lost reactivation is a play that re-engages deals you previously lost, triggered when something changes at the account that removes the original blocker.

Closed-lost reactivation in practice

Every CRM holds deals that died for a reason: no budget, wrong timing, a competitor won, the champion left. Those reasons expire. A funding round fixes budget, a new leader resets priorities, a competitor's contract comes up for renewal. Reactivation watches lost deals for exactly those changes.

This only works if the loss reason was recorded properly. A closed-lost field that just says other gives you nothing to watch for. Fix the field first, then build the play.
