One-click unsubscribe in practice
RFC 8058 defines how it works: the email carries a List-Unsubscribe header with an HTTPS link and a List-Unsubscribe-Post header, so the mail client can send the opt out request without opening a web page. Google and Yahoo require it from bulk senders for marketing and subscribed messages, and Google asks that unsubscribes are honoured within two days.
For cold outbound, a clear way to opt out matters even when the header is not required. If opting out is harder than marking spam, people mark spam. Whatever method you use, the opt out must feed a suppression list that every channel and every tool checks.
