DMARC in practice
DMARC, specified in RFC 7489, is a TXT record at _dmarc.yourdomain.com. It ties SPF and DKIM to the visible From address: a message passes when at least one of them passes and aligns with the From domain. The p= tag sets the policy (none, quarantine or reject) and rua= tells receivers where to send aggregate reports.
Google and Yahoo require a DMARC record for bulk senders, and p=none is enough to meet that requirement. Start at none, read the reports to find every legitimate service sending as you, fix their alignment, then tighten. Publish exactly one DMARC record per domain.
